Description

Inspired by Maasai culture, imagined and designed in France, developed and prototyped in Belgium, then handcrafted by Kenyan craftsmen, Obba unisex sandals use natural materials and vegetable-tanned leather. The sole closely follows the shape of the foot making it almost invisible when you wear these barefoot. A leather ankle strap embellished with glass beads and closed like a corset with a lace (2 colors available) make this pair of sandals a real jewel for the feet. A fine and delicate work, a contemporary design inspired by an ancestral African know-how, for a mixed and urban fashion. “Obba” refers to the goddess of radiant fidelity.

Conseils d'entretien

Uungu unisex barefoot sandals are made of vegetable tanned leather. We recommend that you wear them in a dry environment, avoiding liquids and damp places. After each use, you can let them "breathe" for a moment in the open air, before storing them in the cloth bag provided, avoiding contact with other shoes, so as not to damage the beads.

Composition

Uungu unisex sandals are made of different vegetable-tanned leathers, including cowhide for the inner part of the sandal, softer goatskin for the lining of the sandal, bull leather, which is more rigid, consolidate the outside of the sole. The laces used to close the ankle brace (2 colors per pair) are waxed cotton with metal aglets. Finally, glass beads are assembled by hand to adorn the anklets of the Nommo, Akwaba and Obba sandals, and the front part of the Oshun and Black Widow models. Artisanal and manual manufacture by Kenyan artisans, with a desire for fair trade.
