Far from the magical incantation, Maracadabou’s creations are inspired by the diversity that surrounds him and the cultures of the world, like so many ethnic and dreamlike paintings, which are articulated around 4 themes : florals, graphics, Orientals and the fantaisy ones. For the À La Ligne long wool stole, Maracadabou is inspired by the Italian design of the Memphis movement of the 80’s : small and large colored checks around geometric patterns.
